Family mediationMediation is a voluntary process in which parties to an imminent dispute or an existing one meet with presence of a neutral third party, the Mediator, to discuss their issues, concerns, imminent or existing conflict and progress towards its settlement. Mediation is an alternative to a formal legal proceeding, it is confidential, and results in a written agreement, which the parties have designed to meet their needs.

The mediator is an objective party, but may advise the parties on ways of resolving difficult situations.
